Job Description:
Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.Must be self-reliant and able to work independently, as well as be a team player.Communicate data to inventory control personnel for updating supply chain management system.Respond appropriately to hazardous spills according to MRMC/McLeod Health policy.Receives incoming product (material, supplies, equipment, etc.) and compares actual delivered product (vendor catalog #, unit of measure, quantity shipped, etc.) to packing slip information to purchase order to verify accuracy according to standard operating procedure.Assist in unloading deliveries using forklift, electric pallet jack, and/or manual pallet jack.Inspect shipments for damages or defects.Utilizes automated system to correctly receive product with Purchase Order numbers.Assist with reconciliation of invoice unit of measure discrepancies as needed.Completes and maintains all required paperwork and scans into Docuware system.Prepare items to be shipped out via USPS, UPS, Fed Ex.Expediently and accurately pick and put away supplies including replenishment within the Distribution Center.Able to operate assigned power equipment, computer systems, printers, handheld scanners, etc. safely.Identifies, separates, scans, to pallet or bin, labels, palletizes, and wraps supplies to maximize trailer or storage cube, while communicating any flow issues with Supervisor.Complete required shipping labels and documentation.Accurately load packages on truck, while maximizing the cube of the trailer to minimize shifting during transit.Promotes team approach by cooperating with all staff at Distribution Center to ensure customer orders are packed and shipped within established timeframe.Able to accurately use basic math skills.Able to lift products weighing up to 35 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis.Maintain clean and orderly conditions in all assigned work areas. Represent the department with the highest level of professional and ethical standards.Performs other duties as assigned.Requires the ability to work under/handle stressful situations.Must be a quick thinker and able to display positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly.Qualifications/Training: If the operation of a McLeod owned or leased vehicle is required; must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license and have acceptable driving record.Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education: Minimum of a High school diploma or successful completion of McLeod approved Transition to Work Program.About UsFounded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses.
