For more information visit JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for accepting and managing incoming deliveries to the property. Ensure that all orders are completed, items are undamaged, and any discrepancies are promptly reported. Ensure the gate area is clean, organized, and safe at all times. Efficiently perform the necessary functions for the effectiveness of the receiving operations. REPORTS TO: Loss Prevention Manager ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Accept and sign for deliveries, ensuring packages and pallets are correctly documented.
  • Inspect deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice specifications, and are free from damage.
  • Report any discrepancies, damaged items, or incomplete deliveries to the supervisor immediately.
  • Organized and store received items in designated locations, maintaining an orderly and safe work place.
  • Assist drivers with loading deliveries.
  • Accurately log delivery details into the company's inventory system.
  • Manage traffic control for deliveries.
  • Ensure the gate area is clean, organized and free from hazards.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safety work environment.
  • Report any maintenance needs for the gate area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Shipping or picking/packing experience
  • Experience with electrical and manual pallet jacks
  • Must be computer and Microsoft Office literate
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to pleasantly communicate with proper grammar in English with drivers, management and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Prior experience with shipping programs (UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager) is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of hotel services and facilities
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all guests and fellow employees.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Adhere to local and government compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe work environment for guests and employees.
  • Follow hotel policies, procedures and service standards. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all drivers and visitors.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, overnight and periods of high demand.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, and follow up.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality hotel information.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking and frequent pulling, pushing, and bending.
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor environment factors (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain).
  • Able to grasp, lift and/or carry, push, pull, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 75 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures.
