USESI has an immediate warehouse opening within our Tucker, GA Distribution Center for a Receiving Associate. We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our team.

Job Summary:

The 1st ShiftReceiving Specialist is responsible for efficiently and accurately receivingincoming shipments of products and materials. This role involves verifying anddocumenting shipments, ensuring that products are received in good condition,and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Receiving Specialist works closely withother warehouse personnel and departments to ensure a smooth and efficientreceiving process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Shipments:
    • Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers using appropriateequipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
    • Inspect and verify the contents of shipments against purchase ordersand packing slips for accuracy.
    • Document and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the ReceivingSupervisor.
  • Documentation and Data Entry:
    • Accurately record receiving data in the warehouse management system(WMS).
    • Maintain detailed and organized records of received goods, includingquantities, product codes, and condition.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Ensure that received products are properly labeled and stored indesignated warehouse locations.
    • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as needed to maintaininventory accuracy.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performingreceiving tasks.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevantregulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other warehouse staff, including shipping andinventory teams, to coordinate the movement and storage of goods.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding shipmentissues or discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics rolepreferred.
    • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software isa plus.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouseequipment (certification may be required).
    • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of inventorysoftware.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 pounds).
    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varyingtemperatures

Working Hours:

  • 1st Shift: 9:00pm-6:00pm
  • Monday through Friday
  • Overtime may be required during peak periods.
