FUNCTION The Receiving Attendant is essential in ensuring the efficient flow of goods into the facility, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding high standards of quality and accuracy. - Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of received items to maintain an organized warehouse environment.
- Assist in the inventory management process, updating systems with accurate stock levels and locations.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate the timely distribution of supplies and materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Other duties as assigned.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures is a plus.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is required.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
