Job Description:
The Royal Group, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a temp to hire Receiving Clerk (1st shift) to support our Lakeland, FL facility. You will be eligible to be hired for full-time employment between 60-90 days after your start date. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for all shipments of finished goods and up keeping of records.The Royal Group's mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Maintain vendor documents and turn in for record retention.
  • Maintain shipment packets.
  • Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
  • Performs inventory of products.
  • Processing of out bound freight.
  • Check drivers in by following SOP's, assigns loaders/lumpers when needed, and supervising the trucks ensuring they are being unloaded/loaded within required times.
  • Keep both software systems up to date.
  • Ensure any required labeling is applied to units and ensure accuracy of units being unloaded/loaded (by item and count).
  • Maintaining records of shipments documents per company record retention policy.
  • This position is also assisting in the QC/production group when receiving/shipping is inactive.
  • Troubleshoot issues and propose alternative solutions.
  • Maintain and ensure safe, clean and organized workplace.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
THE ROYAL GROUP REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • 2 years of Receiving/Shipping experience preferred.
  • Data-entry experience
  • Experience working in a warehousing environment preferred.
  • Experience in the corrugated box industry preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures, manuals and SOP's.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, and outside officials to the company.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts associated with basic math.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, training and procedure manuals.
  • Work occasional OT (as early as 6AM and late as 5PM during peak periods).
