Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Receiving Clerk - Full Time, Days (7AM - 3PM, Alternating Days).

In this role, the successful candidate Under general supervision, is responsible for receiving, stocking and distributing various products and materials for Medical Center use. Will also perform courier services as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

* Shipping and Receiving* Communicates very closely with Central Services and Purchasing staff to coordinate shipping and receiving services.* Inspects materials received to ensure that they are in good condition.* Ensures that quantities ordered matches quantities received.* Prepares packages that need to be returned to vendors and maintains all shipping receipts and records.* Communicates status of purchase requisitions and receipts with Purchasing staff. Reports and discrepancies on deliveries.* Rotates stock according to expiration dates.* Breaks down boxes and keeps work area neat and clean.* Understands the receiving functions in the computer system* Source Information: Direct observation, visual inspections, documentation review, and feedback from others.* Stores and stocks supplies to established bin locations.* Transports supplies throughout the Medical Center daily and to off-site locations as needed.* Fills requisitions and delivers supplies to departments as needed.* Enters shipping feedback information into the computer after a requisition is filled.* Distributes office supply orders throughout the Medical Center weekly.* Maintains paperwork on all activity.* Performs cycle-counts for inventory purposes as needed.* Requires Pallet Jack training and Certification every 3 years.* Source Information: Information: Direct observation, discussion, documentation review, and feedback from others.* Maintains hospital vehicle in good, clean operating order.* Identifies and reports potential problems affecting vehicle.* Transports borrowed equipment from other healthcare organizations as needed.* Source Information: Direct observation and discussion.

Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a High school diploma or equivalentValid NYS Drivers License and free of infractionsProfessional interpersonal skillsMust have excellent computer skillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to pay close attention to detailAbility to lift, move and pull heavy loadsAbility to operate and properly use hydraulic pallet jacks and power lift equipment

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $41,925.00 - $41,925.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
