SUMMARY
Verify and keep records on incoming shipments. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and receiving merchandise or material; unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and the transportation of products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
* Deliver or route materials to departments or vendors, using work devices, such as company truck, conveyor, or forklift.
* Delivers and retrieves wire and equipment form the raw materials storage to shop floor and/or moves production parts to various operations.
* Performs stocking and re-stocking, ensuring that all product and materials have accurate weight and/or piece count.
* Prepares pallets, loads, and unloads raw material and finished product onto truck, vans, or automobile for deliveries.
* Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
* Verifies that all product and materials have accurate and appropriate identification tags, documentation, and/or paperwork.
* Reports any mechanical problems encountered with forklifts and powered lifts
* Performs cycle counting.
* Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
* Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.
* Adheres to all company health, safety, and environmental polices and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and/or Experience
* High School Diploma or Equivalent; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Working experience of shipping and receiving procedures
* Working knowledge of relevant computer applications such as Word Processing and Spreadsheet software
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software; Database systems; and Internet software
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
