**Position:** Receiving Clerk **Position Summary** **:** The receiving clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for both incoming and outgoing shipments. **Reports to:** Department Supervisor
**Position Statues:** Non-Exempt **Shift:** 8:00am-4:30pm
**Duties and Responsibilities**
* Abides OSHA and FSC rules and regulations for safety.
* Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contain dust, odors, and noise.
* Work well under pressure.
* Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
* Unloading deliveries from trucks.
* Collaborate with staff on expected deliveries.
* Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
* Comparing packing list to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
* Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated location.
* Contact supplier of shipper if a mistake is identified.
* Maintaining records on orders/delivery details.
* May be required to operate warehouse equipment such as a forklift.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Physical Demands**
* Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.
* Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.
* Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.
* Must be able to bend and squat frequently.
* Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.
**Required Knowledge and/or Experience**
* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
* Minimum of 2-year experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.
* Forklift certification required
* Ability to work in a team as well as individual.
* Attention to detail and problem solver.
* Computer skills and knowledge of data entry software programs.
* Basic math and measurement skills
* Ability to read blueprints, picklist, and orders.
* Ability to read English.
* Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
