$17.25/Hour Full-Time, Plus Shift Differential, if applicable Location: Gaming Division Reports Directly To: Purchasing Manager Posted Until Filled Candidates hired may be eligible for up to a $500 hiring bonus Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and sign goods, packages and express letters delivered to North Star Casino.
- Document all deliveries using current software system (receiving form).
- Notify appropriate Departments of receipt of goods and arrange for delivery to departments.
- Expedite deliveries of express mail and sensitive equipment.
- Prepare boxes and items for shipment using UPS software application.
- Keep shipping dock area clean and free of debris.
- Communicate with transport companies and drivers to schedule deliveries at optimal times for staff.
- Operating a forklift as required and needed when necessary, during receiving/shipping and unloading.
Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred. High School Diploma or GED is required if you are under 19 years old and under.
- Must be able to acquire and retain a Forklift driver certification.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft office components preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under stress. Must be courteous, friendly, and able to work with diverse personalities. A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork are essential.
- Must obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License, pass a Criminal Investigation Background Check, and complete pre-employment drug and health screenings. Must be at least 18 years old and willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work Conditions:
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, reach above shoulder level, push/pull, crawl, and lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Work is general performed in loading dock setting and occasionally in a casino setting with a higher noise level.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus, with the aid of prescription glasses/contacts, if needed.
- The work environment is nonsmoking, noise level varied, but not dust free.
