Receiving Clerk
Position Summary:
Responsible for receiving and processing all purchased products and materials
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Verify parts and quantities of parts received match what is shown on vendor packing lists
and on company purchase orders.
* Note missing or damaged cartons on carriers' bills of lading. Notify Purchasing Department
of any discrepancies or damages.
* Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or
orders to verify accuracy.
* Neatly and accurately complete necessary paperwork: timesheet, 5S checklist and
requisitions for production materials.
* Maintain correct stock quantities through cycle counts.
* Accurately read and use tape measure.
* Must be able to read blue prints and calculate dimensional requirements for production
materials.
* Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
* Safely operate forklift to load and unload trucks.
* Carefully operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
* Regularly check shelves to determine items needed for stock replenishment. Pull overflow
items necessary to fill these shelves.
Tools and Technology Skills:
Regular use of desktop computer including Microsoft Office and company operations software, use
of scanner, copier, fax, and telephone.
Education and/or Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, packing lists, production orders
and Material Test Reports. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak
and project a professional image to visitors and customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations.
