For more information, visit www.coopervision.comJob Summary:Performs activities in loading commercial trailers/containers, handling and inspecting goods, materials, and packages. Provides general guidance, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting with all dock monitoring job functions.Responsible for working intra/interpersonally with QIC Silver Stock personnel and departments to allow for the smooth flow of unfished goods and non-inventoried items into the West Henrietta Distribution Center. May interact with delivery personnel in support of receipt/transfer of products.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Loads/unloads trailers/containers.
  • Maintains and supports organization of the Silver Stock Receiving dock area.
  • Carefully inspects freight for damage, verifies piece count, and stages items for put away activities.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and receiving docks neat & free of debris, complying with procedures, rules, & regulations.
  • Provides feedback and input to coordinator/management as necessary regarding procedures & safety concerns.
  • Performs material handling activities in support of the receipt and put away of received silver stock, cartons, labels, literature, packaging materials, ECT.
  • Ensure proper adherence to carrier sign in and out procedure.
  • Uses RF technology to process item movements and receipt of Silver Stock items in the warehouse.
  • Prior to using equipment, performs operational and safety checks using the Inspection checklist for applicable PIT required.
  • Operates multiple types of power industrial equipment to meet the responsibilities listed above.
  • Responsible for the overall security of the freight and the dock, including trailer inspections and sign off.
  • Responsible for obtaining all proper signatures for all shipping documentation.
General Job Requirements:
  • Works scheduled holidays to maintain service levels for customers.
  • As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory Saturdays.
  • Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at scheduled start times, notifies Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness in accordance with company policy.
  • Immediately informs Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions and concerns regarding quality issues.
  • Exhibits good communication skills - verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to operate sit down forklift, reach and double-reach industrial lift, electric and standard pallet jack as well as RF hardware.
  • PC Skills
  • Able to utilize the electric dock plate.
  • Exhibits good communication skills - verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics accurately.

Experience:
