ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated Receiving & Inventory Specialist to join our company. This position is responsible for execution of safety standards, achieving daily productivity goals while meeting quality requirements, performing routine maintenance and assisting with maintenance with non-routine maintenance.

  • Receive all shipments by outside sources and company transfers.
  • Field questions about orders from warehouse and sales.
  • Perform stock checks.
  • Address any backorders immediately each morning.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Good math and excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to deal effectively with employees.
  • Ability to multi-task, ability to deal with changing circumstance and situations.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently use a tape measure and micrometer.
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane.
  • Knowledge of structural steel products or previous steel distribution warehouse experience preferred.
