We are looking for a **Receiving Receiver** to join our team!

The **Receiving Receiver** unloads product from trucks and reconciles product with receiving documentation. The Receiver is responsible for accurately matching SKU information/quantity ordered with purchasing paperwork and ensuring product received is within acceptable shelf-life quality standards.

**In this exciting role, you will:**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

* Arrive on time, take scheduled breaks and lunch and complete daily work assignments.

* Unload common carrier equipment and stage product.

* Accurately reconcile product, quantity, shelf life and quality to receiving documentation.

* Communicate any receiving variances timely with Operations management.

* Follow all standard operating procedures for paper flow and system receipt of product.

* Ensure that all products are properly stored according to appropriate safety standards.

* Clean and maintain assigned storage locations.

* Use assigned tools and equipment safely and as instructed to minimize equipment damage to product.

* When receiving assignment is completed, be available to fill in for other roles/zones as needed.

* Promote a safe work environment at all times by modeling desired behaviors for self and others.

* Meet or exceed all company safety and performance expectations, follow all handbook and operations policies and procedures.

* Ability to complete daily workload as instructed in a high volume, deadline-driven environment

* Ability to read Tote Packs, purchase orders, product location codes, customer order labels, and all other shipping documents and match to visible items and other data

* Effectively communicate with others to discuss/confirm written information and/or give verbal directions to peers

* Ability to perform computer lookups/inquiries to determine product locations

* Vast pet product knowledge

* Self-motivated, well-organized, good decision-making skills, and ability to communicate on a professional level

* Positive attitude, team focus successful working both independently and cooperatively with peers

* Knowledge and practice of safe lifting techniques.

**Your education & experience should be similar to:**

* HS diploma or GED, preferred

* Previous warehouse/distribution experience, preferred

+ Training provided to candidates without previous warehouse/distribution experience

* Electric Pallet Jack experience, preferred

**Working conditions:**

* Warehouse environment with variable temperatures/outdoor weather conditions, exposure to noise and vibrations from forklifts/other equipment, will work near moving mechanical parts, such as lifts.

**The required physical abilities to perform this job:**

* Walking and standing for most of the shift.

* Some stooping, kneeling, and crouching, lifting.

* Reaching and carrying with hands and arms.

* Lifting and carrying 60 pounds most of the shift, occasionally heavier.

* Hand stacks 30,000 pounds per day.

* Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate warehouse tools and equipment.

* Able to hear and speak into telephone.

* Close visual work on computer terminal.

* Must be able to complete loading paperwork accurately.

You will have the opportunity be trained on a variety of warehouse equipment and job skills as opportunities arise in the warehouse. The Skill-Based Pay is anywhere between $0.25-$0.50/hr for skills such as Returns, Reach Truck, and Loaders. *Policies and programs are subject to change.*

Our current Sign-on bonus is available to you when your join our team on or before December 31, 2021. You will be paid your sign-on bonus in two installments: $500 after your initial 90-day introductory period and $500 after successful completion of 180 days of employment. Sign-on bonuses are taxed per IRS regulations.
