In this position, you are responsible for ensuring flow of product from the vendor or third party carrier to storage or order fulfillment. This position engages in a variety of warehouse and business transactions that are critical to the operation of the Murray Distribution Center including supporting the accurate and timely supply of products to the Company's patient base, product storage and determining vendor accuracy.   • Accurate and timely receiving, entry and put away of all inventory receipts
  • Accurately process and document product returns as required following established procedures
  • Assist with special projects and other departments in line with business needs
  • Assists in providing information necessary to process invoices for payment
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, vendors and other departments both verbally and in writing to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Complete regular inspections of box trucks, forklifts and other equipment
  • Establish inventory accuracy between physical quantities and Warehouse Management System (WMS) quantities by providing initial count of product, as well as relaying any concerns, quarantining product as necessary and reporting discrepancies to procurement
  • Establish relationships with department peers and other departments
  • Files all Bills of Lading, packing slips, purchase orders and other documentation as necessary
  • Load and unload packages and pallets from deliveries and freight shipments utilizing pallet jacks, forklifts, handheld scanners and other equipment as necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse working environment
  • Move product between off-site warehouse to the main distribution center
  • Perform physical inventory reconciliation counts and periodic physical inventory
  • Physical movement of products in the warehouse and at off-site warehouses, ensuring an orderly and uninterrupted flow of products to the pick-pack-ship line
  • Practices safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Record all product movement in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) via bar code scanning devices and other data entry methods as needed
  • Route deliveries to correct department or individual at Murray Operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understand operations and processes with the Warehouse Management System
  • Volunteers and performs other duties as required or assigned
  • Working as a team to achieve daily warehouse management, accuracy and shipment goals
  • Working independently on daily assignments
  • Works well with a team and all coworkers

QualificationsEmployment is contingent on

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
Required Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
Preferred Education and/or Experience
  • Experience with medical equipment, preferred
  • Experience in medical field, distribution and inventory management, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred
  • Medical terminology, preferred
Skills and Competencies
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills

Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities
  • Handheld bar code scanner, manipulate the scanner and input the required data
  • Utilize a computer and operate select functions within the Warehouse Management System
  • Utilization of certain material handling equipment
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack or other load moving equipment
  • Email transmission and communication
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
Physical Demands
  • Lift individual boxes
  • Manipulate pallets of products using a hand truck
  • Accessing product using approved safety stairs
  • Clearly read small print on forms and product labels
  • Extensive walking and working on one's feet for extended periods of time
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
  • Warehouse and office environment; primarily indoors, but some outdoor work may be required
