Job Description:
  • Responsible for the restoration of wooden cranberry crates by removing defective wood and replacing them with new wood components.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of tools used for the repair of bins; these include a pneumatic stapler, nail gun, hammer, pry bar, chisel, cutters and Sawzall.
  • Accountable to maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
  • Advises the Supervisor or Lead Worker of any operational problems, equipment failure, or safety and quality issues.
  • Stages cranberry bin bottoms and sides for stacking and/or repair
  • Required to attend work on a timely and consistent basis. Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Perform forklift operations such as: staging cranberry bins inside/outside the yard, load and unload bins from trucks, and transport bin sides and bottoms into the plant for repair.
  • Support Receiving Station's harvest operations by assisting with harvest set-up, monitor operational efficiency of assigned harvest equipment and support routine maintenance, sanitation/end of year harvest cleanup.
  • Hand stack cases of finished goods on Upgrade line
  • Assist with loading trucks to dispose of waste produced by the Process and Receiving operations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate logs of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Responsible for monitoring the quality of fruit and advising the Quality Coordinator or Team Lead of any foreign material or food safety issue.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Upgrade Clean and Relief which includes daily and weekly line wash down and sanitation including weekly ATP testing.
  • Remove excess fruit from bin bottoms. Assists with bin breakdown when required.
  • Operates hydraulic lift to break multiple line drivers and operators.
  • Ensures the continual flow of cranberries to the production line by communicating with the forklift driver.
