Concordia Community Support Services is part of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, a faith-based, CARF-CCAC-accredited Aging Services Network and recipient of the inaugural Pennsylvania Department of Aging Excellence in Quality Care Award. The organization has been in operation since 1881 and now serves communities in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida. QUALIFICATIONS for the Receptionist Position:
  • Post-secondary education in business or secretarial field recommended.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills to the extent that a positive and professional image is conveyed to clients, families, referral sources, staff and general callers.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under deadlines.
  • Particular orientation or experience working with older adults and their families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for the Receptionist Position
  • Handles all phones calls, mail or general inquiries and messages for staff, clients, and referral sources in a positive, courteous, pleasant, and professional manner.
  • Order, stock, track and organize medical and office supplies.
  • Coordinates and tracks, records storage and PT/INR Monitors
  • Maintains orderly storage and recording of patient charts for storage
  • Creates start of care packets, completes all filing timely, conducts concierge calls to patients
  • Submits repair requests to the Maintenance Department and Copier Company when repairs are needed for copiers and fax machines.
  • Distributes and tracks monthly birthday cards
  • Coordinates with field staff special supply orders such as PT/INR Monitors
  • Creates letters, envelopes, and labels using word processing software for general purposes and mass mailings.
  • Maintains a professional standard of conduct, projecting a positive image of the home care service line at all times.
  • Communicates with co-workers, supervisors, physicians and all outside contacts effectively
  • Maintains ongoing liaison and communication with staff
