Job Summary:As a
Receptionist at Visalia Post Acute, you will be the welcoming face of our skilled nursing facility, providing friendly and professional assistance to residents, visitors, and staff. Your role will include managing front-desk operations, answering inquiries, directing calls, and supporting administrative tasks. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills to maintain a warm, efficient, and supportive environment for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Management: Greet visitors, residents, and staff with a friendly demeanor and provide direction as needed.
- Phone Operations: Answer and direct incoming calls, take accurate messages, and relay information promptly.
- Visitor Assistance: Help visitors check in, including coordinating visitor passes and ensuring compliance with facility policies.
- Administrative Support: Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, mail sorting, and distributing messages.
- Appointment Coordination: Schedule resident or staff appointments and manage the facility calendar as needed.
- Supplies Management: Monitor and reorder front-desk supplies to ensure a well-stocked and organized work area.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and confidentiality policies, including HIPAA regulations, to protect resident privacy.
- Support Staff: Assist other departments with clerical support when necessary, contributing to an organized and efficient workplace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior receptionist or customer service experience preferred, especially in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and manage front-desk responsibilities efficiently.
- Friendly, compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing a welcoming experience for visitors and residents.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform basic physical tasks, such as bending or lifting light objects.
- Occasionally may need to stand or walk to support other areas of the facility.
