Job Summary:
- Greets patients and visitors as soon as they arrive and direct them as needed
- Check in/check out patients
- Collect co-payments
- Make appointments for patients calling into office and patients completing visit
- Answer the phone in a timely manner and direct calls to the correct staff members
- Retrieve faxes through electronic software program and direct/scan them to appropriate electronic record
- Take and send via EPIC telephone messages/encounters to clinical staff and providers
- Notify practice/nurse manager of any complaints or problems
- Prepare and mail any patient correspondence
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Inventory office supplies and submit requests to manager for ordering
- Assist providers with Webex Telemedicine visits
Minimum Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 1 year of experience in the healthcare field or in a related area. Proficient use of computer and other office equipment.Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within healthcare. Possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
