Cianbro is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Reconciliation Coordinator who thrives in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge and a keen eye for detail, bringing a proactive approach to account reconciliation to ensure the integrity of our financial data and the overall health of the company's financial position.
Job Responsibilities- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Conduct, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, accounts payable, accruals, accounts receivable, prepaid assets) with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
- Variance Analysis: Investigate discrepancies between account balances and their supporting documentation, providing explanations and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement streamlined reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and minimize the risk of errors.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Tax to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless financial operations.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards throughout all financial processes.
- Audits: Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate account details and reconciliation reports.
- Tracking and Reporting: Prepare detailed reconciliation reports for management, ensuring that outstanding issues are escalated and resolved while tracking key performance indicators related to reconciliation and account health.
- System Integration: Support system integrations and workflow improvements in accounting and finance-related areas.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist in understanding payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions as needed.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide analysis and reporting as required by management.
Qualifications/Requirements- Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial transactions and account reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Infor, SAP, Oracle, CMIC) is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Team-oriented with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Experience coordinating and collaborating within a large financial team is essential.
- Ability to work independently and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
