As a Construction Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of restoration and reconstruction projects for both residential and commercial clients. - Work closely with the Project Manager to oversee reconstruction and mitigation tasks on residential and commercial projects.
- Manage on-site crews during the reconstruction process, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule tradesmen, subcontractors, and material deliveries to ensure timely project progression.
- Ensure mitigation tasks, such as water extraction, drying, and mold remediation, are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure projects remain on schedule and within the approved budget.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on the status of reconstruction and addressing any concerns.
- Document progress through job site reports, ensuring that all activities are properly recorded and communicated to the Project Manager.
- Ensure all projects adhere to local building codes and industry standards for safety and quality.
- Support the Project Manager with quality control inspections, helping to identify any issues before project completion.
- Assist with managing subcontractor contracts, ensuring tasks are completed on time and according to the project's scope.
- Collaborate with the mitigation team to ensure proper restoration before beginning the reconstruction phase.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 3+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in restoration, mitigation, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of the reconstruction process, particularly in relation to disaster restoration and damage repair.
- Experience in coordinating mitigation tasks such as water extraction, structural drying, and mold remediation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage crews and subcontractors.
- Ability to read blueprints, schedules, and job specifications.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Proficiency in using construction management software is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
