Recovery Advocate We are taking applications for both locations for days, evenings, overnights, weekends, on call, Full time and part time. Compensation starting at $16.50 You will be eligible for a shift differential of $2 if you work between the hours of 5:30pm-9:30pm and $4 if you work between the hours of 9:30pm-7:30am. You will be paid semi-monthly.FAMILY TREATMENT CENTER Wayside's Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. Women receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk. Women involved in the child protection system receive support for reunification or enter treatment while pregnant and deliver their baby while in our care. 2120 Clinton Ave Minneapolis, MN 55404 REPORTS TO: Recovery Advocate Supervisor JOB SUMMARY: Assists clients with their daily functions. Responsibilities & Essential Functions: •Be available to client seeking guidance or support, as well as responding appropriately to identify needs. Setting boundaries with clients and educating them about facility rules. •Supervise client activities. •Respond to emergencies and effectively manager crisis. •Record client data and information accordingly. •Ensure all essential tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. •Administer medication when working as the med key holder. •Collect urine specimens for drug screens and breathalyzer, document findings per policy. •Complete admission and discharge procedures with clients. •Chart and document necessary client information in EHR system. •Role model behavior that is consistent with and supportive to people in recovery from substance use disorder. Such behavior will include upholding ethical standards of the program and reliable attendance. •Maintain confidential client records. •Perform other routine support tasks, including filing, photocopying, and answering telephone calls. •Transport clients as needed. •Attend medication administration training to pass meds with RN approval. •Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills •Must be 18 years or older. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills •Organizational and excellent computer skills essential. •CPR certification •Strong attention to detail, thinking capabilities and humor are welcome. •Ability to work on multiple tasks. •Ability to relate to women of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. •Must be able to demonstrate an ability to be responsive in an effective manner, while maintaining a warm and supportive atmosphere. •Must be able to pass DHS background study and meet applicable requirements and regulations. •A valid Minnesota driver's license with a good driving record. •No DUIs in last three years; No more than three moving violations/accidents in past three years Education and Experience •High school diploma or GED •Experience with mental health, trauma-informed cared, and gender responsive care preferred. •Experience working with families and/or pregnant and parenting women preferred. •Experience working in a 24-hour behavioral setting preferred. •Knowledge and experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel. Physical Requirements •Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. •Must be able to climb stairs.
