Position Summary:The Recovery Coach Coordinator is responsible for supporting and expanding the RCC Recovery Coaching Program. The Recovery Coach Coordinator is responsible for training, recruitment, supervision, developing referral networks, and data collection. The Recovery Coach Coordinator is also responsible for quality assurance of Recovery Coaching services provided by the RCC's Recovery Coaches via training, supervision, and ongoing technical assistance. The RCC Recovery Coach Coordinator is trained in the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) model, which is a strengths-based support for individuals with active addictions or in any stage of recovery from alcohol, other drugs, codependency, or other addictive behaviors. Recovery Coaching is carried out by formally trained individuals to promote recovery; remove barriers; build recovery capital; connect recoverees with recovery support services; and encourage hope, optimism, and healthy living.FLSA Classification: HourlyJob Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide CCAR RCA (Recovery Coach Academy) trainings, and/or other trainings as necessary in the region
- Recruit volunteer Recovery Coaches capable of delivering a quality service to individuals seeking and in recovery from addiction
- Collaborate with individuals and/or organizations such as law enforcement, healthcare and other community resources and systems in region to establish working relationships and systems of referral and engagement with recovery coaches
- Establish and follow written protocols for access to Recovery Coaches with community resources based on the unique needs and practices of each resource
- Work with the Department of Labor and other employment development resources, and ensure that recovery coaches are trained in providing employment service access and referrals.
- Engage schools and community organizations to participate in training including Recovery Coach Basics and Relationships and Parenting Education.
- Provide quality assurance with each provider and community resource a minimum of once per quarter
- Coordinate scheduling and facility locations to develop on-call Recovery Coaching that meets the times and locations of the highest volume and acuity of need where and when this is necessary or indicated
- Provide Coachervision to Recovery Coaches
- Develop Coachervision locations/environments as systems with specific needs emerge
- Perform data-related functions to ensure reporting requirements are met

- Lived experience in recovery preferred and passion for supporting people in recovery
- Strong knowledge of field of recovery and respect and regard for multiple pathways
- Skills to collaborate with and motivate coaches and volunteers
- Warm, personable approachable; ability to work with diverse people
- Effective communication skills; ability to listen well and speak effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with community resources
- Ability to manage and disseminate information effectively
- Team player with high professional standards, positive attitude, and flexibility
- Candidate must have completed the following trainings at the time of hire or complete within 60 days of hire: RCA, RCA Train the Trainer, Ethics and Ethics Train the Trainer
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive
- Ability to utilize designated data platform in providing coaching, managing data and teaching others
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday or as assigned by supervisor, with occasional evenings, weekends and travel requiredSubmit Resume and Cover letter to be considered for this position.
