SSTAR is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) which affords our employees eligibility to apply for one of our three Loan Repayment Programs. The Recovery Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities, participating in treatment services related to caring for the clients, and observing and supervising clients on the unit and off. They also must conduct 30-minute client well-being checks. $19.00 per hour plus shift and weekend differentials. Fall-Time and Part-time shifts with rotating weekends.Benefits

Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities.
- Observes and supervises clients and unit; conducts 30-minute client well-being checks.
- Searches client belongings on admission and at discharge, or as otherwise directed by supervisor.
- Completes all necessary checklists, shift documentation and record keeping in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Maintains a professional and therapeutic approach when interacting with clients.
- Participates with staff to implement program objectives and philosophy.
- Facilitates and documents daily groups.
- Attends supervision, trainings and meetings as required.
- Obtain/Assess vital signs (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Respirations, Temperatures).
- Other duties as instructed by supervisor or as needed.
Experience and Skills Education & Experience
- High school diploma or Higher educational level or general education degree (GED).
- Experience working with substance use population is preferred.
- Ability to display initiative, responsibility, accountability, and professionalism.
- Demonstrates commitment working with an addicted population, enjoys working as part of a treatment team.
