JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Teaches, guides, instructs and supports persons with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders to address barriers in any life domain, associated with their recovery. Identifies and meets the client where they are and coaches them to success. Teaches skills such as: self-advocacy, negotiation, problem solving, goal setting, symptom management, recovery capital, daily living (i.e. housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, and parenting), communication, coping, financial/budgeting and money management, benefits management, vocational, identifying triggers to prevent relapse, community integration, and social/recreation/leisure skills.

QUALIFICATIONS Education Level
Bachelor's level preferred, Associate's degree or Two years of experience or two years of college coursework in related field may be substituted for degree requirement.
Years of Experience Minimum of two years professional experience working directly with adults or youth and families in a child welfare, school, childcare, criminal justice behavioral health or related setting preferred.
Certification/Licensure
Obtain and maintain CANS/ANSA Certification
