This role involves overseeing logistical aspects such as scheduling, marketing, communications, and tracking student progress. The Program Coordinator will also support students from admission through program completion by providing orientation, day-to-day communication, and connecting them with campus and community resources. The role includes organizing and facilitating various meetings, staying current with funder and accreditation requirements, and assisting in data collection and report writing.Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Planning and Development:
    • Assist in the planning and development of the SIUE Recovery Support Professional Training Program.
    • Oversee the logistics and implementation of program activities, including scheduling, marketing, and communications.
  • Student Support:
    • Support students from admission through program completion by providing program orientation and onboarding.
    • Maintain day-to-day communication and follow-up with students.
    • Connect students to campus and community resources to remove barriers to program completion.
    • Assist students in securing and connecting with internship opportunities.
  • Meeting Coordination:
    • Organize, facilitate, and attend program-related meetings, including statewide meetings, internship site visits, advisory board meetings, and other relevant meetings.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Stay current with funder, accreditation, and university program requirements and expectations.
    • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing program and student-level data for reporting purposes, including grants, accreditation, and university reports.
    • Provide support in report writing.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Perform additional duties as required to support the SIUE Recovery Support Professional Training Program.
  • Typical QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Communications, Psychology, Social Work or related discipline
  • 1 year of experience in program planning and student support
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism as a representative of SIUE
    • High level of organizational skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple diverse constituencies
