The Treadwell Arena staff is a small group of dedicated individuals, and we are looking for a team player to join our crew. Ideally, we would like an individual who is interested in providing excellent customer service and assist with recreational programming at a favorite recreational facility. WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION This position works a varied schedule (Monday through Sunday) 5:30am-midnight at Treadwell Arena in Douglas. Typical ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision and with detailed guidelines, assists in the operation, programming, and administration of the Treadwell Arena. - Opens and closes the facility as scheduled - Assists with customer service duties such as answering phones, emails, collecting fees, responding to customer questions/complaints and distributing recreational equipment - Sharpens ice skates - Submits daily facility reports, accident/incident reports, equipment condition reports and other reports required - Inputs data and registration and scheduling software systems and generates reports - Monitoring and ensures safety of all participants in on-ice and off-ice activities including public & private skating/hockey sessions and special events for all ages - Assists with enrolling participants in programs and classes, facility scheduling, registration, and event bookings - Enforces facility safety procedures and rules for participants and spectators - Inspects facility and equipment for cleanliness and safe conditions - Ensures the ice is cleared after each session and moves hockey nets for driver when needed - Administers basic first aid and CPR as needed - Performs other related work as required Minimum QualificationsLicensure: CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment. Other: Not less than 18 years of age at time of appointment.
