Oxford Nursing Home -

Oxford Nursing Home, located in Brooklyn, is seeking a Weekend and Evening Recreation Aide!

Support Certified Nursing Assistants, Recreation in providing assistance with meals, activities of daily living, recreation programs, diversional activities to individuals with diagnosis of Alzheimer's, dementia, other cognitive impairments and behaviors. Maintain safety, encourage independence and help meet care plan goals.

Preferences:

• Bilingual/Spanish Speaking
• Musical Skills
• Some experience working with elderly or individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities.
• Be able to adapt to changes in environment.
• Willing to work with a team.
• Regularly required to speak clearly, provide physical care to clients which may include pushing wheelchairs, recliners.
• Be able to divert challenging behaviors.
