WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

St. Johnland is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Recreation Assistant to join our team! As a Recreation Assistant you will support our Rec Therapy Department, helping our residents achieve physical, emotional, and social well-being through engaging activities and programs. If you have a passion for eldercare and want to enhance the lives of our residents, please apply!

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting individual recreation programs
• Participating in facility wide events
• Documenting program attendance and participation
• Following care plans, safety guidelines and ensuring the well-being of our resident population
• Encouraging resident participation, socialization, and community engagement

WHAT YOU NEED: (Requirements/Qualifications)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• 1-year previous experience in Nursing Home Recreation preferred
• Therapeutic Recreation Certificate preferred
• Compassionate and positive attitude
• Commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our residents
