Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full time (40 hours)
Recreation Aide for 11am-7pm and every other weekend to become a part of our facilitys compassionate care-giving team. This position is a bargaining union position with Weekly Pay, generous PTO and Health Benefits!
Job Summary for Recreational Aide:
To assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs based on the concept of meaningful engagement.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility
Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activities
Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior and degree of involvement so the facility activities and resident process are evaluated by noting, reporting, and charting resident behavior
Able to transport residents safely in and out of elevator, and to and from activities. Must be familiar with residents use of assistive devices and wheelchairs.
Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
Maintain a productive working relationship with other department supervisors and coordinate activities to assure that daily activities can be performed without interruption
Know and uphold facility policies, procedures, philosophies, and objectives along with interpreting them to residents, families, personnel, and to the community.
Requirements:
High school Diploma/or Experience in a nursing home social or recreational program.
