Job Summary: Assist in the operation, set up and maintenance of the Tube Park, Ice Rink, or Mini Snowmobiles. Maintains a clean and enjoyable atmosphere at all times and ensures guest compliance with safety regulations. The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Job Details:
  • Seasonal full-time or part-time position available
  • Starts at $20 hourly
  • Role will be exposed to outside winter weather conditions
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
  • Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Greet all guests and answers questions about Squaw Valley activities and equipment.
  • Assist in setting up activity equipment
  • Ensure all guest know the activity rules.
  • Conduct safety training and assists guests with becoming familiar with the operation of the activity, safety and procedures.
  • Rent equipment, process cash, credit cards or debit payments and account closeout at the end of the day.
  • Maintain the tube runs, ice rink, or snowmobile track, shovel or rake snow to provide a consistent surface
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the activity area; pick up litter and empty trash, snow removal as necessary. Ensure facility maintains a clean and professional appearance.
  • Assists with the cleaning, repair, inspection and maintenance of the activity equipment.
  • May operate heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer and forklift in order to remove snow and clear Ice Skating Rink.
Competencies and Job Requirements:Required:
  • Effective communication skills, oral & written
  • Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
  • Work well as part of a team.
Preferred:
  • Knowledgeable about all aspects of Squaw Valley or be able to locate information. Should have general knowledge of Alpine Meadows.
Education and Experience:Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working with the public
Preferred:
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer and forklift in order to remove snow and clear Ice Skating Rink.
