Job Description:
This role will assist in all marketing and promotional efforts of the department and help to coordinate special events for parks, recreation facilities and community centers.
Examples of Duties:
* Assists in social media, email and web marketing efforts.
* Helps develop a strategic messaging calendar (social media, email blasts, reader boards, etc.).
* Creates, designs and distributes marketing materials as needed.
* Assists in planning and designing seasonal recreation guides.
* Assists in organizing and executing seasonal special events.
* Collects quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns, programs, and events.
* Photographs and video records aspects of special events.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
* Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Able to utilize Microsoft Office software and Google Drive.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Adobe and Canva software.
* 3 months prior experience.
Other Necessary Requirements:
* Evening and weekend work required.
* In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City's needs.
