Join us in building a vibrant artistic community â apply today!This position works Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00am to 7:30pm to provide leadership support to the Eagan Art House facility and programs.Application Deadline: Sunday, January 5th @ 11:59pm (CST)Essential Position FunctionsDevelop, implement, lead, and coordinate a variety of visual art education opportunities for the Eagan community.Develop and coordinate class schedules in multiple spaces; facilitate building needs related to programs.Develop and implement new programs and outreach opportunities to meet community need.Plan and implement community-wide events.Create social media content for Eagan Art House programs, as well as Recreation Division programs and events.Ensure that Eagan Art House programs are inclusive, accessible and equitable.Monitor expenses and revenues to accurately report division budget.Gather requested data and statistics, track equipment and supplies, perform inventory control and purchasing duties as needed or directed.Evaluate the overall need, cost, quality and effectiveness of activities and events and recommend improvements and changes.Communicate professionally and courteously with students, teachers, and independent contractors.Coordinate contract agreements for services required.Assist in the selection, training, scheduling, and supervision of seasonal staff, instructors, volunteers and partnering organizations.Coordinate private group activities and rentals.Substitute for classes as needed.Coordinate proper written documents and contracts for council approval as needed.Keep Supervisor and other management staff informed of problems, concerns, new developments, and work accomplishments.Assist Supervisor in maintaining relationships with internal and external groups.Troubleshoot, make decisions, and respond to inquiries and concerns relating to participants, activities, staff and public.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.Associate's degree in any field of study.Valid driver's license.One (1) year of direct experience in an art center, art school, or recreation setting.One (1) year experience providing work direction to part-time staff and/or volunteers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.Helpful Experience for this Position:Bachelor's Degree Art Education, Arts Management, Recreation, or a related field.One (1) or more years of experience in an office setting.One (1) or more years of supervisory experience.Experience planning educational programs in a community setting.Experience with facility coordination.Experience with Rec Trac registration software.Ability to speak Spanish.Supervision of Others:This position provides work direction to seasonal and part-time recurring staff, contractors, vendors, volunteers, and participants.Recruitment Timeline:Position posting runs December 4, 2024 - January 5, 2025.All candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be invited to complete a pre-recorded video interview via VidCruiter.
