Summary This position is located at Outdoor Recreation Branch, Fort Stewart, GA. This is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits. Responsibilities Plans, schedules, organizes and implements outdoor activities such as but are not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, trips, skeet shooting, parks, ranges, mountain climbing and overnight recreational trips. Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses. Researches, plans and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas. May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5- year plan. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. OR Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience. Highly Qualified: Possess work or educational related experience in conducting classes/trips in the activities listed (kayaking, canoeing, boating, archery shooting, shot gunning, hunter education, biking), must possess at least four out of seven activities to be considered. Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications & Highly qualified criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly qualified list. This announcement will have a cutoff date. Qualified applicants will be referred at the cutoff. If a qualified applicant is referred and selected at the cutoff, there will be no subsequent referrals issued. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
