- Develops, prepares and justifies a budget for areas of responsibility.
- Controls and accounts for the expenditure of funds in accordance with the approved budget.
- Coordinates, schedules and maintains related records for program and staff.
- Keeps a daily record of attendance in the assigned recreational activities, arts and crafts, movie, weight room, intramurals, etc.
- Maintains discipline, cleanliness and inventory control in all assigned areas.
- Posts schedules of monthly activities and special events.
- Submits list of monthly off-Center cultural activities and other events, which will be placed on the upcoming month's calendar of off-Center trips.
- Responsible for updating or revising policies and procedures.
- Trains, supervises and evaluates work performance of Recreation Specialists. Makes recommendations for hiring and termination.
- Prepares schedules and assignments for recreation staff.
- Provides for risk management practices, ensures all safety rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
- Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures staff is trained in safety procedures
- Projects a positive self-image and encourages enthusiastic participation in recreation programs.
- Chaperones and directs off-Center trips and ensures necessary funds are available for the trips.
- Follows the CDSS/CSS/BMS plans and procedures daily.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Adheres to required property controls policies and procedures.
- Maintains recreational equipment.
- Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate career success skills.
- Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
- Participates in PRH mandated staff training.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the individual's scope and capabilities

RequirementsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.Education: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in a related field.Experience: Minimum two years working with youth, or related experience and/or training, including one year supervisory experience.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State Driver's License; valid Commercial Driver's License Class B CDL with passenger endorsements.
