Recreational Specialist Foot Print to Success Clubhouse is a Mental Health organization that provides vocational, educational, and social resources for adults with serious and persistent mental illness in a non-clinical setting. We are looking for an organized and creative recreation specialist for planning and organizing leisure activities and programs to promote physical, social and mental well-being. Position Overview The Recreational Specialist will focus on socialization and recreation in the Drop-In Center. They will create programs and daily projects for adults with mental illness who may otherwise be unable to motivate themselves. If you are passionate about helping people improve their lives and develop social skills through organization, fun, and consistency, then this is the job for you! Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Develop a rapport and trust with members of the program. Design and implement recreational programs, including arts and crafts, music, sports, games, and group outings tailored to members' needs and interests. Ability to manage a small group of adults with mental illness and behavioral disabilities. Ability to motivate adults who may be unmotivated or unwilling to participate in activities. Fill out paperwork in a timely manner. Be aware of the diversity of members and their capabilities. Encourage member involvement and support their personal growth through engagement in programs. Ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for members. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Excellent organizational skills.
