Description:
The Recreational Therapist evaluates patient skills and needs, determines treatment objectives, and recommends goals/treatment plan to the interdisciplinary team via use of therapeutic use of self, activity modalities and the environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE
Education
* Successful completion of a four year course, leading to a Bachelor of Science, degree in Recreational Therapy.
Certification
Current National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification/certification REQUIRED
Training and Experience
* One year Mental Health experience preferred.
