Job Description:
Under the guidance of the HR Manager, provides fundamental HR services to assigned operation including, but not limited to, coordinating hourly employment, utilizing employer of choice policies and procedures, coordinating facility employee relations activities, and supporting personnel needs as requested by operations. Executes human resources policies, procedures and programs relating to various phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties at assigned facility.Job Responsibilities:Reviews employee applications, initiates contact with potential candidates, and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.Conduct new hire orientations including maintaining appropriate forms and documents in new hire packets.Screens and recommends candidates for additional interviews / potential employment with others in organization.Maintains records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.Provides input to management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and conducts employee counseling, including disciplinary actions, as required.Provides input to management and employees on policy and guideline interpretation of HR policies, programs and procedures.Utilizes effective employee relations and communications programs and executes company policies/procedures fairly and consistently to foster positive attitudes and promote employee understanding and support of company strategies.Coaches and counsels managers and employees on work-related issues and in effective use of strategies to resolve differences.Prepares hourly employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts hourly exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.Provides stay and exit interview detail summary, and shares input regarding potential areas for improvement, as requested.Processes hourly unemployment compensation claim requests.Confers with management and supervisors to identify hourly personnel needs for assigned facility and is responsible for required recruiting efforts.Arranges and conducts testing of hourly applicants, performs reference and background checks on hourly applicants considered for employment.Conducts new hire orientation for hourly employees at assigned facility to foster positive attitude toward company goals.Applies understanding and knowledge of HR information system products and services (UltiPro, Cognos and YESS) to assist internal users at assigned facility. Works in conjunction with IT in managing the day-to-day functions of the HRIS web system.Performs other duties as assigned.About Us:American Trim is a local family owned and operated business with a 70+ year history in the community.
