Recruits, interviews, checks references, makes offers, and conducts orientation for new employees. Performs exit interviews and processes change of employee status. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 1-2 years of experience in the recruitment field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Objectives of this role
- Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's hiring needs for every role, and to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates
- Foster high-touch relationships using a database of qualified candidates to choose from when positions become open
- Partner with recruiting team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruitment strategies
- Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates, and create and post job descriptions and announcements
Business group:
Peak recruiting season
- Responsible for all of America's student recruiting.
- Mostly within Corporate recruiting. Recruiting efforts is a blend of tech/non tech.
- They support all lines of business across amazon.
- Student hiring (ranging from under grad to PHD programs, internships are for their students)
Day to day:
- Generating and reviewing candidate applications.
- Fit for the Internship role and opportunity.
- Monitoring candidate responses within inbox.
- Processing offers/onboarding tasks.
- Team meetings/stand ups
Interaction level with team:
- Weekly team meetings.
- At times daily syncs.
- In office work with the team.
- Virtual/hybrid meetings.
- SLACK for team/one on one questions.
