The Recruiter is primarily responsible for sourcing and pre-screening applicants over the phone. The Recruiter must be able to analyze resumes and process information in a rapid manner to maximize contacts. They are also responsible for placing recruitment ads on internet job boards, college websites, and developing sources to increase the number of quality applicants at the lowest cost. Consult with Store Management on developing a recruitment strategy to fill open positions. Also responsible for maintaining Action Oriented Programs for our Affirmative Action Plans. This position is responsible for maintaining high energy, excellent telephone, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Call, prescreen and refer candidates
- Sort and review all resumes/applications received
- Enter and then communicate background check results, communicate drug test results
- Search for new resumes posted daily
- Search for new sources and keep relationships with current source, attend occasional career fairs
- Develop relationships with hiring managers
- Update applicant tracking system to keep opening current
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
