OverviewAs a Recruiter, you will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the agency.Open to Current Community Transit Employees OnlyEssential Duties* Screen applications, pre-screen candidates, and select qualified candidates to advance in the process. Maintain consistent communication and timely response to applicant questions.* Collaborate with department managers and HR Business Partners to identify and draft detailed and accurate hiring plans, criteria, and expectations. Understand job posting and advertisement requirements. Ensure job postings are up to date, easily accessible, and accurate on all recruitment platforms.* Assist with the interview process. Ensure proper hiring practices are adhered to while attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.* Collaborate with the hiring manager and other human resources staff during the offer process. Advocate for the candidate in salary, incentives, start date, and other pertinent details.* Accurately update the applicant tracking system, and maintain accurate, complete, and timely records.* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies through the recruitment process. Adhere to diverse, inclusive, and equitable hiring practices.* Attend job fairs, career chats, and other recruiting or outreach events. Answer questions about open positions and working at Community Transit.* Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications* 3 years of increasingly responsible recruitment experience.* 3 years of experience using an applicant tracking system.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted.Knowledge Requirements* Knowledge of recruitment compliance, employment laws, regulations, and company policies.* Full-cycle recruiting, including best practices for outreach efforts, screening, negotiations, closing, and candidate relationship management.* Applicant tracking platforms and data collection methods.* Interviewing processes and techniques to fairly assess potential for success.* Techniques and tools to reduce unconscious bias and uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion.* Procedures for handling privileged or confidential documents.* Customer Service.Skill Requirements* Fostering an inclusive workplace by valuing and leveraging diversity, equity, and inclusion to uphold Community Transit's Core Values and achieve the organization's vision and mission. Availability is at management discretion and may not be available for this position based on the nature of the work. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the use of office equipment and technology. You will be required to move throughout and between different office buildings and may need to complete tasks in noisy environments.
