We are seeking a personable recruiter to join our recruiting team, to support our high volume Chauffeur recruitment efforts supporting our high volume fleet operations working closely with safety and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Seek out, interview, and screen applicants to fill openings for various driver positions.
- Be knowledgeable of current transportation laws and DOT regulations.
- Interview, screen and analyze information skillfully to obtain a complete application and pre-qualify applications working with the safety department.
- Coordinate applicant interviews, scheduling with hiring managers through outlook calendars.
- Act as a resource for applicants with questions about job details, interview process, and general transportation and DOT laws and regulations.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain class attendance spreadsheet, working with operations and human resources to ensure a great candidate experience.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite; including Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Strong ability to multi-task and work well in an environment subject to changing priorities and demands.
- Experience in the transportation field preferred.
- Developing critical-thinking and analytical skills.
