Job Title: Recruiter – LEAD Marine Newport News

Location: Newport News, VA (In-Office)

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000/year

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruiter to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. This in-office role is a vital part of our LEAD Marine division, focusing on sourcing and placing skilled trades talent for marine and industrial positions. The Recruiter will work closely with the Operations and Recruiting Manager to develop strong relationships with candidates and clients, ensuring a seamless and professional hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate Sourcing and Recruitment: Identify and attract top talent for marine and industrial positions through job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with candidates and clients to create a robust talent pipeline and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations and Recruiting Manager to understand client needs and ensure job requirements are met.
  • Job Posting and Management: Write compelling job postings and maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruiting activities comply with company policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist with onboarding and placement processes, providing candidates with a smooth transition into new roles.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in recruiting, preferably in staffing, skilled trades, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
  • Knowledge of the marine or industrial sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
