Job Summary: This role has the primary responsibility of overseeing and coordinating the administration of recruitment efforts, HR policies & procedures and other various programs that support the manufacturing department employees. This position provides administrative and strategic support within the HR department's projects and initiatives. This role directly supports the HR Business Partner. - Manages recruiting process for area of support including, posting/advertising position openings, screening resumes, conducting telephone interviews; coordinating in-person interviews based on recommendations; conducting reference checks and extending offers of employment. Processes required background checks and consults with HR Business Partner when faced with legal concerns.
- Represents Herr Food's at recruiting and other internal and external company related events.
- Manages and coordinates employee onboarding experience and processes. Guides new employees through the various onboarding stages, ensuring a positive and valuable experience. Coordinates and presents new hire orientation.
- Oversees exit interview process for assigned area of support
Customer Service/Communication
- Cultivates positive professional relationships at all levels with a diverse audience.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively while striving for the highest possible outcomes for employees and our organization. Drafts and communicates HR and company related announcements determining the appropriate and best suited forums.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Answers employee questions and addresses employee concerns with supervisor or appropriate manager and/or department.
HR Business Partner Support
- Gathers and analyzes HR Metric data in order to recommend improvements, process and/or procedural changes.
- Assists with completing employee relation investigations and follow-up. Maintains employee records and paperwork. Coordinates and manages master roundtable notes and follow-up among managers and departments.
- Works proactively to identify problems and craft creative solutions.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Promotes HR programs and policies in order to create and sustain an efficient and conflict free workplace. Represents HR department and serves on assigned committees.
- Participates in developing department goals and objectives. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Manages assigned department and company projects.
- Provides back-up support for other positions within department.

- Associates degree required, Bachelors degree in Human Resources or like preferred.
- 2-5 years related experience preferred with working knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- MS Office Suite experience required, intermediate skill level preferred.
