The Bronx District Attorney's Office is seeking well-qualified staff members with diverse backgrounds that reflect the ability to serve the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. Under the general direction of the Chief and Deputy Chiefof Legal Recruitment, the Legal Recruitment Coordinator facilitates the movement of candidates through the recruitment process by working closely with recruiters and recruitment leadership to actively engage candidates in the end-to end hiring process.Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:Writing and posting job descriptions on career websites, social media, Bar Associations databases and Law School Job boardsAssist with sourcing candidates by conducting employment related sourcing activitiesAssist with coordinating and attending job fairs, community activities and career eventsUtilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and social media recruiting tools to search for candidatesAssists recruitment team with customized screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.Refers appropriate candidates to recruiter and/or hiring supervisor.Greet and orientate intervieweesCommunicate as needed with candidates, schedule interviews, and collect post-interview evaluations.Schedule Hiring Board members for interviewing, and manage communication and correspondence as directed.Provides support coordination of recruitment projects and related services to supervisors, hiring managers, recruitment team members, and others.Serves as resource for recruitment policies, procedures, and practices to supervisors, HR staff, and others. Refers to recruiters and other staff as appropriate.Handles and prioritizes multiple ranges of advanced administrative duties with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative.Assists with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve process.Assist with employee pre-boarding, onboarding process and exit interviews.Assist with recruitment data collection and comprehensive analysis and reporting of dataCreate and conduct presentations regarding the hiring processCoordinate legal recruitment travel scheduleAll other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.Preferred SkillsA Bachelor's degree preferred or a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years of working experience in a governmental agency, civic or community organization. Proven experience in recruitment, human resources or career services preferably within a legal staffing strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of the legal industry and various legal roles and qualifications. Strong computer skills including proficiency in the use of Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers. A deep understanding on the value of a customer service approach to recruitment Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills. Skills in database management and record-keeping.
