Essential functions (job duties):
Job Purpose:
This position serves as the main point of contact for faculty, alumni and admission committee members that interview, screen and/or serve on the admissions committee. The role is responsible for sending out regular communications to groups informing them of updates, best practices, meeting schedules, industry trends, training opportunities, etc.

Serves as the main point of contact to answer questions for faculty, alumni, admission committee members that interview, screen and/or serve on the admissions committee.
Responsible for sending out regular communications to these groups informing them of AAMC updates, best practices, meeting schedules, industry trends, training opportunities, etc.
Responsible for recruiting faculty and alumni volunteers to serve as admissions interviewers and screeners.
Coordinate the scheduling of interviewers with the Admissions Day Supervisor and Coordinators.
Monitoring the interview and screener availability to ensure adequate coverage for interview days and screening of applications.
Responsible for ensuring coverage if shortages occur.
Responsible for setting up technology access for new individuals as they are onboarded.
Responsible for development of training materials and creation of a standardized training program for admission interviewers.
Responsible for training, education and onboarding of new Admission Committee members, faculty interviewers and admission committee screeners.
Responsible for assessing performance of interviewers and screeners and providing feedback to individuals and the admissions committee.
Responsible for providing feedback and education to interviewers if a student complaint arises.
Educate and train interviewers on standard interview questions/rubrics and use of the Likert score.
Educate and train interviewers on inappropriate or illegal questions.
Responsible for ensuring HIPAA and FERPA and confidentiality guidelines are followed.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local and university regulations and policies.
Unique duties:
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Minimum of five years of job-related experience working in higher education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to set up and run virtual meetings and send invitations.
Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
Proven success in following through and completing projects.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.

Ability to make decisions, present them, and follow through with implementation.
Excellent computer skills. Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
