Reports To: Dean of Enrollment Services

Job Summary: Plans, develops, organizes and implements a variety of outreach programs and events designed to reach and recruit potential students. Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to facilitate recruitment involvement and participation.

Minimum Required Education:

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, sales, education or a related field; or a combination of equivalent experience/training and education that yields the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Minimum Required Experience:

* Two years related work experience in higher education.

* Preferred: one year experience as a recruiter.

* Working knowledge of federal, state and local policies that affect recruitment and admissions (FERPA, ApplyTexas)

Essential Job Functions:

* Maintains the college comprehensive recruitment and tracking strategy including, but not limited to, identifying prospective students, visiting middle and high schools, conducting campus tours, developing recruitment techniques, working with university partners and coordinating special events and programs for attracting a diverse student population.

* Provides guidance, training and support to all faculty and staff participating in recruiting and TACRAO college/career fair activities. Coordinates and schedules all TACRAO and other college/career fair activities. Builds collaborative partnerships with staff and faculty charged with program specific outreach for enrollment. Serves as a consultant and resource to internal departments with recruitment planning and training.

* Works cooperatively with Institutional Affairs and Instruction in developing and promoting the institutional image, Hill College mission, and academic/technical programs at local community events.

* Coordinates and manages individual and group tours across the district including relevant meetings with faculty, staff, and programs. Coordinates outreach to school districts and other relevant groups to encourage on-campus visitation.

* Promotes student involvement in recruiting efforts by organizing, training and supervising the Hill College Ambassadors program.

* Works cooperatively with Institutional Affairs to ensure comprehensive, current recruitment materials, and other marketing efforts to support all outreach efforts.

* Continually evaluates outreach efforts and makes recommendations regarding best use of time and attendance as well as measures to increase effectiveness.

* Maintains recruiting materials and resources for the College District.

Other Information:

* Travel to area schools, events and Hill College locations as needed.

* Weekend and evening work required during designated times.

* Must have a valid Texas driver's license.

* Serves on institutional committees as directed.

* Security sensitive position.

* Weekend and evening work required during designated times.

Physical Requirements:

* Light work: exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work.
