The RecruitMilitary Sales Development Internship is a 1-year, full time employee position, designed as a partnership between our firm and you! The goals of the partnership are these:

  • Our first goal will be to give you the training, development, mentorship, and experience to begin and accelerate your career in professional B2B (Business to Business) sales. We will enter you into a world-class sales development program where you will learn to operate in the sales industry's best technology platforms, (i.e. Salesforce, Pardot, ZoomInfo, etc….) and will learn fundamentals in B2B sales that will create a foundation of experience, skills and abilities that will allow you to apply for and win next level sales opportunities, (within our sales organization or others).
  • Our second goal is for you to impact our mission and business during this development program by functioning as an entry-level B2B sales rep marketing our Military Veteran Career Fairs to small and medium sized businesses across the country.
  • If you are looking for a career in sales, this position will allow you to grow your skills from the ground up and put you on the fast track to success within our company, or to equip you with the training, skills, and experience needed to secure your next-level sales opportunity outside of our organization.

    We are looking for competitive, self-motivated individuals who have the drive to succeed and are ready to build a long-term career in a sales-focused environment.

    This role will be remote, (unless you are in our HQ location of Hampton Roads, VA)

    Sales Development Internship Representatives, (SDRs) go through a training program designed to build your professional sales and sales system management skills so you can excel as a professional B2B sales representative and beyond. The 1-year program will consist of initial training followed by a normal, rotating work/training schedule. This schedule will consist of active selling and skill development, balanced with regular and ongoing weekly training & development. The program will teach the latest in Inside Sales skills including:

    • Utilize state-of-the-art sales technology systems

    • Develop and hone professional B2B selling skills

    • Leverage the latest resources for sourcing new business opportunities

    • Leverage marketing tools and resources

    • Perform inside B2B sales outreach

    • Perform needs analysis

    • Business development techniques and best practices

    • Negotiation Skills

    • Schedule management for optimizing sales performance

    • Tips and best practices on how to succeed long-term in a high-performing sales career

    • Negotiation skills

    We are looking for people who have a strong drive and desire to have a career in sales. In addition, it is vital for success that the candidate to display a strong competitive drive to be the best and can continually strive to achieve success.

    Other requirements for the Sales Development Internship Representative include:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience

    • Strong initiative with sales “hunting” aptitude

    • Ability to be direct and have difficult conversations

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • Must have a “can” and “will” attitude

    • Must be a team player

    • High level of coachability

    Compensation

    • Base Salary: $36,000/Annually

    • Commission: 10% on all sales

    • Estimated 1 Year Internship Earnings: $45,000-$50,000
