Job Description:
The bulk recyclables industry is a ~$1 trillion industry - yet is largely a technological desert. Outlast is transforming the recyclables trade through technology. Outlast is looking for an experienced recycling professional to operate our warehouse in Houston, Texas. This positions works on-site Monday-Friday in Houston, Texas. It will require traveling within Texas as needed to meet customers. Responsibilities
    • Receiving and grading: Grade ferrous and non-ferrous materials according to specifications when they arrive at the warehouse. Reject non-conforming products with proper documentation for customers. Complete relevant documentation for incoming and outgoing materials, and any associated data entry using Outlast software in accordance with company requirements.
    • Inventory management: Meet monthly financial goals for inventory levels and inventory turnovers. Audit inventory daily to maintain accurate records at all times using Outlast software.
    • Logistics and customer service: Coordinate logistics with suppliers and customers with the highest level of customer service. Answer customer inquiries about general pricing and logistics. Ensure customer requests are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner.
    • Financial reporting: Adhere to Outlast's requirements for maintaining financial records and escalate potential over-budget expenses incurred from warehouse activities to management as early as they arise.
    • Product feedback: Provide targeted feedback to Outlast's engineering for further development of our proprietary platform, especially for features on managing inventory and quality. Assist in prototype testing, new feature ideation, and suggestions for enhancements.
Qualifications
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the scrap industry required
    • An associate degree or above required
    • Deep familiarity with a wide variety of scrap grades required
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Spanish fluency preferred
    • High attention to detail
    • High comfort level with desktop software and mobile apps
    • Self-starter with a roll-up your sleeves mentality and a bias for action
