Job Summary:Randstad Federal is seeking a Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes Admin in support of a program at IRS.

Location: Bethesda, MarylandJob Type: ContractSalary: $70 - 80 per hourWork Hours: 8am to 4pmEducation: Bachelors

Responsibilities:Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes admin with a strong background in container orchestration, platform management, and cloud-native applications with hands-on experience in managing and deploying applications on OpenShift and/or Kubernetes clusters.

Primary Duties:

  • Deploy, manage and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters - 25%
  • Configure, manage and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift - 20%
  • Automate cluster provisioning, configuration and deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm - 25%
  • Integrate Kubernetes/OpenShift with CICD deployment tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub - 15%
  • Document and troubleshoot issues with containerized applications - 15%

    • Required Skills/Level of Experience:

  • Managing and administering Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters - 7 years
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (KSH, Bash, Python) - 6 years
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) - 6 years
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven) - 6 years
  • In-depth knowledge of networking in containerized environments, load balancing, network policies and ingress/egress traffic - 6 years
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex problems - 7 years

    • Nice to Have Skills:

  • Red Hat OpenShift certification or Kubernetes certification

    • Qualifications:

  • Experience Level: Experienced
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors

    • Skills:Kubernetes
