Job Summary:

Mission Multiplier is looking for a Red Team/Purple Team Lead to lead a red team on one of our federal engagements. This position requires a high degree of technical knowledge along with the ability to effectively manage and engage with people. Ability to obtain and maintain a High Public Trust clearance is a must. 5+ years of related experience is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as hands-on project manager overseeing two direct staff members to conduct purple team activities, including the planning and execution of penetration tests. red team exercises, purple team training, cyber threat intelligence, cyber simulations, and other offensive (Red Team) and defensive (Blue Team) activities as needed and required.
  • Responsible for developing and managing project engagement plan that identifies and sequences project activities, milestones, and overall project responsibilities for the team.
  • Support the test and evaluation of government client's products/systems to identify exploitable vulnerabilities, assess risk, and determine likely threats.
  • Enable collaborative, transparent, continuous, and iterative on-the-job knowledge transfer to enhance Blue Team knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve their ability to identify, isolate, and remediate existing vulnerabilities and prevent likely future vulnerabilities.
  • Assist the improvement of Blue Team cybersecurity capabilities through dynamic, people‐centric training, using real‐time, practical training applicable to real situations, systems, services, and infrastructure within the government client environment.
  • Support the development of internal cyber threat intelligence analysis and dissemination process to identify real world threats against the product/system/environments using best practice open- and closed-sources as needed
  • Help prepare for system testing, training, and in support of Blue Team operations to prevent, detect, eliminate, or mitigate threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Oversees the planning, directing, supervising, and controlling of all project management functions, including ensuring the timely delivery of contract deliverables.
  • Manage fully remote staff project team and remote connectivity with client.
  • Effectively engage and communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including the client, corporate staff, and other personnel supporting the project.
  • Collaborates with corporate staff to achieve objectives related to project delivery, staffing and project financial management.
  • Work with project team to develop training plans, schedules, metrics, ensuring effective delivery and course correction of plans where needed.
  • Work with cyber simulator tool(s) to identity potential impacts of identified cyber vulnerabilities and recommend the appropriate courses of action (COA).
  • Support side-by-side training with Blue team operators and application developers instructing them on how more effectively implement cybersecurity controls.
  • Help to identify and support the awareness of emerging real‐world vulnerabilities and assist client in assessing our risk and recommending courses of action to remediate any vulnerabilities identified.
  • Provide unclassified threat information/briefings/training to USPTO staff and contractors to improve awareness of new and emerging vulnerabilities and methods to prevent and/or mitigate them.

Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. preferred. Experience and certifications can substitute for degree.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a High-Level Public Trust clearance.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certification(s) (CompTIA+, Sec+, CISSP, etc) preferred.
  • Ability to function effectively independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
